MAXXlite, the bold new evolution in high volume trailer design, is making its first public appearance at RTX 2026—and it marks a major shift in how bmi trailers approaches strength, efficiency, and modern transport demands.

For nearly 30 years, bmi has adapted to an industry where processed materials get lighter, payload expectations rise, and technology accelerates faster than anyone predicted. Keeping up with trends is one thing—but bmi has always preferred to set them. With MAXXlite, the company challenges long held assumptions about what a Walking Floor™ or Ejector trailer can be.

A New Lightweight Era — Without Compromise

bmi has long been recognised for tough, durable Walking Floor™ trailers and Ejector transfer trailers. But one perception lingered: they’re heavy. MAXXlite changes that narrative entirely.

Designed with the efficiency-first mindset of leading European manufacturers—but built on a full steel chassis, engineered for UK conditions, and proudly MADE IN THE UK—MAXXlite delivers strength without excess weight. No shortcuts. No weaker materials. Just smarter engineering.

Impressive First Variant: 130yd³ of Capability at Just 7.74T

The first MAXXlite model on show features a standout 7.74 tonne tare weight, achieved without sacrificing durability or performance.

Its specification includes:

• Powered roll over cover with front, rear, and centre domes

• Cargo Floor 7mm EXTREME system

• Internal bulkhead for enhanced load control

• SAF disc brakes for reliable stopping power

• Alloy wheels to further reduce weight

Smaller body sizes in the MAXXlite range will be even lighter, while maintaining the same structural integrity and performance standards.

Meet the Team at RTX 2026

The bmi team will be on hand throughout the show to discuss MAXXlite, answer technical questions, and explore how the new range can support your operational needs. Any member of the team will be delighted to help.
