Hankook to showcase tyre range at inaugural RTX Scotland

Scottish news

Hankook Tyre UK has confirmed it will showcase its latest Hankook and Laufenn commercial vehicle products at the debut RTX Scotland trade show, taking place at the SEC in Glasgow from 19–20 November.

Organised by the team behind Road Transport Expo at Stoneleigh, the new Scottish event will feature more than 50 exhibitors, including truck manufacturers, trailer builders, tyre suppliers and workshop specialists. Visitor numbers are expected to exceed 7,000 across the two days, with a programme of seminars, workshops and networking also planned.

On stand B20, Hankook will display its e-SMART City AU56, the first EV bus tyre launched to the industry in 2024. Developed for electric buses, the AU56 combines low rolling resistance, high durability and reduced noise, while coping with the extra weight and torque of battery-powered vehicles.

Other highlights include the new 315/80R22.5 Smart Work AM11+, designed for steer axle use in mixed on/off-road conditions, with reinforced sidewall protection for demanding stop-start operations. Hankook’s SmartFlex AL51 and DL51 for regional and long-distance use will also feature, both fully regroovable and retreadable.

Alongside its premium range, Hankook will promote its secondary brand Laufenn, including the LF95 trailer tyre and LF22 and LZ22 regional haul products. Laufenn tyres are retreadable and aimed at cost-conscious fleets looking for reliable performance with reduced environmental impact.

Hankook, the UK market leader in truck tyre replacement, says the new Scottish show is a key opportunity to connect with operators north of the border.
