Established in 1998 as Distribution Tractor Services (DTS) by Scotsman Alisdair Couper, the business was founded on a commitment to delivering responsive local support backed by industry-leading specialist vehicles. Having lived and worked extensively across Scotland's west coast and islands, Alisdair recognised the challenges faced by operators working in both urban centres and some of the UK's most remote locations.
Today, Terberg DTS supports customers from Thurso to Stranraer, including the Scottish islands. Led by John Buie, Operations Manager for Scottish Operations, and supported by a Scotland-wide engineering team, the business combines local knowledge with decades of specialist vehicle expertise. Our technical team, led by a Head Technician with more than 20 years' experience supporting Terberg products across Scotland, provides expert maintenance, repair and technical support across a diverse range of industries.
We work with customers in transport, industrial, aviation, defence, emergency services and critical infrastructure, supporting operations ranging from airports and military establishments to ports, distribution centres and remote island locations. Our experience extends beyond specialist vehicles to supporting wider operational requirements, including fire and rescue vehicles, firefighting equipment and safety technologies that help protect people, assets and essential services.
