The one-stop industry event that’s all about the truck and everything related to it
Carrier Transicold returns to Road Transport Expo showcasing a range of sustainability solutions, including offerings from its Transform Line – a range of product modernisations and retrofits aimed bringing temperature-controlled transport into the future.
Visitors can see Carrier Transicold’s [R]eCool battery pack, which allows existing diesel-operated refrigeration units of any brand to be retrofitted and converted into a 100% electric solution.
The system can also be mounted to new trailer builds, working in conjunction with, or replacing, the refrigeration unit’s diesel engine.
Thanks to its use of advanced Addvolt power electronics, [R]eCool can be operated and quickly recharged from a standard 32 AMP stand-by plug. It joins Carrier’s Eco-Drive and eCool technology in electrifying diesel refrigeration units for both trucks and trailers.
Carrier Transicold’s high efficiency range will also be prominently featured, including the Vector HE 19, which now utilises a new low GWP refrigerant that delivers an 89% reduction in CO2 impact versus the current R452A standard.
Discover how the Vector HE 19 can be optimised to achieve up to 19% fuel saving compared to the standard unit, thanks to a comprehensive software update that can be retrofitted to existing systems to reduce fuel burn and carbon impact.
Meanwhile, the versatile and ultra-lightweight Vector HE 17 features technical innovations that demonstrated a 43% fuel saving, compared to the legacy Vector 1550, in a recent UK customer trial.
For the truck market, the new Carrier Transicold Supra HE range offers a quieter, lighter and more compact unit that delivers enhanced efficiency, performance, uptime and emissions control.
Visitors can also explore a live touchscreen demonstration of Carrier’s powerful Lynx Fleet connected technology, which provides end-to-end visibility of cargo integrity, energy use and asset health across the cold chain.
