The one-stop industry event that’s all about the truck and everything related to it
VUE, a leading provider of vehicle safety technology and fleet risk management solutions, is proud to announce its participation at this year’s Road Transport Expo (RTX), where it will be exhibiting on Stand N42. The company will spotlight its comprehensive post-Direct Vision Standard (DVS) support strategy—demonstrating its unwavering commitment to quality service and road safety.
Following the implementation of the Direct Vision Standard (DVS), VUE took proactive steps to ensure customers continued to receive high-level support beyond the initial compliance deadline. Central to this initiative is VUE’s dedication to accessibility, technical expertise, and service quality—key pillars that define its customer-first philosophy.
To address the growing need for efficient fault resolution, VUE expanded its team of engineers and strategically positioned them throughout London, prioritising regions most affected by the DVS requirements. This increased regional coverage has resulted in faster response times and reduced vehicle downtime, a critical concern for fleet operators whose vehicles risk being classified as VOR (Vehicle Off Road) if DVS equipment is non-functional.
VUE’s commitment to innovation is also evident in the development of a plug-and-play loom system, integrating all wired components into a single device. This modular design enables rapid installation and fault diagnosis, helping fleets return to the road faster and with greater reliability.
A robust and proactive installation approach is another key element of VUE’s post-DVS strategy. The company has introduced a rigorous onboarding and training programme for engineers, including mentoring, ongoing product updates, and scheduled technical audits. Both in-house engineers and subcontractors are regularly audited to ensure consistent standards and installation quality.
VUE has further strengthened its service offering through collaboration with independent accreditation bodies to certify its engineers. Proper certification ensures a high level of competence across varying vehicle types and complex installation requirements, with engineers trained to tailor each DVS system to the specific configuration of the vehicle.
As part of its ongoing customer support commitment, VUE has implemented several key initiatives:
• An expanded team of mobile engineers
• A rigorous and ongoing audit schedule
• Automated fault reporting via VUE’s proprietary platform
• A responsive customer service team focused on fast issue resolution
Chris Taylor, Head of Operations at VUE, commented: “Regulations like the DVS are crucial in the industry we operate in. Road safety impacts every road user and vulnerable pedestrian. That’s why our focus isn’t just on getting systems installed—it’s about providing exceptional after-sales support that ultimately helps save lives. While our technology enhances operational efficiency for fleet managers, safety remains the top priority.”
As VUE prepares to showcase its solutions at RTX, it reinforces its long-term commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. By supporting fleet operators beyond the point of sale, VUE continues to lead the way in helping customers meet regulatory standards and maintain operational excellence.
