His work has ranged from managing compact 2kWh energy storage systems to delivering large-scale, multi-megawatt infrastructure projects. Simon has played a key role in electrifying heavy-duty vehicles, including buses, trucks, and refuse vehicles, combining technical expertise with a strong commitment to cleaner transport solutions.

At Innovate UK Business Connect, Simon helps drive forward zero-emission mobility. He works closely with industry and stakeholders to support the development and rollout of sustainable transport technologies across the UK—including playing an integral role in the Zero Emission HGV and Infrastructure Demonstrator programme, from its initial concept through to its current stage of delivery.
