Alexandre Bregantim currently serves as Chief Technical Officer for Prometeon Tyre Group, a role assumed at the beginning of 2018. He has 30 years of experience in the tyre industry at Pirelli, and since 2017 at Prometeon, with more than 10 years of international experience working in Italy, China, and Brazil.

During his International experience, Alexandre first went to China in 2005 as the R&D Director for Pirelli China, where he was responsible for establishing the R&D Centre in China. In 2009, Alexandre moved to Pirelli’s headquarters in Italy where he served as the R&D Deputy Director for Truck and Bus Tyres Worldwide. In Italy, he was responsible for a global project of new tyre products. In October 2012, Alexandre returned to China as the R&D Director of Pirelli Asia Pacific, taking charge of the homologation and product development of the APAC markets.

Alexandre has multiple experiences coordinating global projects, managing product cost and orienting customers. Of particular note he was responsible for heading up the 400-strong team of industry professionals that worked for four years to develop Prometeon’s latest flagship tyre range – the Serie 02 - which represents the cutting edge of production in terms of innovation and sustainability.

With over 180 million kilometres of tests on the roads of Italy, Germany and Turkey, the Serie 02 boasts some impressive advancements when compared to its predecessor:

  • 18% reduction in rolling resistance
  • 10% improvement in mileage
  • 20% improvement on durability
  • 10% improvement on wear uniformity

As CTO of Prometeon, Alexandre is in charge of the global technical area of Prometeon, responsible for the R&D, Quality and Manufacturing departments across operations in Turkey, Egypt and Brazil.
