Since joining Maritime in 2011, Tom has completed a variety of roles across the business, gaining experience in operations, commercial and systems until he was appointed to the board in 2016, and soon after, became Managing Director – Containers. With the merging of the Road and Rail divisions in 2021 following the acquisition of the Wincanton Container Logistics, Tom took responsibility for the Intermodal division. More recently, Tom has additionally taken on a strategic role within Maritime, and currently is leading the companies journey towards a net zero future, specifically focussing on our involvement in the Zero Emission HGV and Infrastructure Demonstrator (formerly ZERFD) and getting power into our network of 40 depots across the UK.
