Aegis Trailblazers launching at Road Transport Expo to help fleet leaders accelerate the decarbonisation of commercial transport

Aegis Energy, the company building the UK’s first network of clean, multi-energy refuelling hubs for commercial vehicles, is attending Road Transport Expo 2025 to launch the Aegis Trailblazers – a new initiative to recognise and support the fleets leading the transition to clean transport.

The Aegis Trailblazers offers a range of perks for forward-thinking fleet operators who are committing early to clean refuelling. This includes discounted electric charging rates that can be competitive with depot infrastructure, networking opportunities, and the chance to help shape Aegis Energy’s infrastructure plans, from fuel options to driver welfare facilities.

Members will join a growing community of businesses that are responding to increasing consumer and regulatory demand for decarbonisation, getting a head start on the transition and their competitors, whilst helping set the pace for the rest of the industry.

Commercial vehicles contribute 10% of the UK’s total emissions, but a lack of tailored clean refuelling infrastructure has been a significant barrier to fleet decarbonisation. Aegis Energy is addressing this challenge with its plans to open five public-access multi-energy hubs by the end of 2027 and 30 by the end of the decade.

Through its Trailblazers initiative, Aegis will provide early adopters with tailored support, including decarbonisation advice, financial incentives and a voice in where and how its infrastructure is developed. This aims to make the transition more accessible for all operators – from small local van fleets to large mixed-fleet businesses.

Aegis Energy is encouraging any fleet operators and partners interested in joining the Aegis Trailblazers to find out more at aegisenergy.uk/fleet-energy-hub-trailblazer or visit its stand at the Road Transport Expo at NAEC Stoneleigh between 24th-26th June 2025. Their team will be available to chat at Stand GR3, Hall 2a in the Green Zone throughout the event.

Kasia Chodurek, Director of Business Development at Aegis Energy, says: “If we look at the history of the logistics industry, trailblazers have always played an important role in propelling it forward – from the earliest adopters of telematics to the first fleets to embrace automation. Today, we’re at another inflexion point. We need bold operators excited about leading the way in the transition to zero-emission transport. “The Aegis Trailblazers will recognise and support those leading the charge, whilst making it easier for others to take the first step in decarbonising their fleet. These companies aren’t just keeping pace, they’re helping to set it, and by acting early, they’re taking control of their transition, building in the time and flexibility to do it on their terms. We couldn’t be prouder to be supporting them on that journey.”

Members of the Aegis Trailblazers will benefit from:

• Discounted rates for electric charging - access to Aegis Energy's lowest price points on a time and volume-limited offer, bringing overall costs down to levels that can be in line with depot infrastructure

Dedicated account manager - bespoke support in planning fleet decarbonisation, to evaluate both transition fuels and zero-emission options

Priority access to new hub information and forums to help shape infrastructure plans, including input into fuel options, site layouts and driver welfare facilities • Networking opportunities with other pioneering fleets taking steps towards decarbonisation as well as customers looking for low carbon logistics options

Member spotlights on our website and social media channels • Recognition assets, including digital badges, branded merchandise and more

Invitation to an annual Trailblazer tournament - a friendly sports event bringing the network together for a day of competition, connection and celebration

With the first hub set to open in 2026, the Aegis Trailblazers provides the opportunity for fleets to secure early access to first-generation infrastructure and shape the development of a cleaner transport future.
