D.tec International to spotlight impaired driving prevention at Road Transport Expo 2025
D.tec International, the UK’s leading supplier of roadside drug testing equipment and workplace substance misuse solutions, has confirmed its attendance at this year’s Road Transport Expo.
As an established partner to UK policing and commercial fleets alike, D.tec will be showcasing the DrugWipe device – the trusted roadside drug test used by all 43 police forces across England, Scotland and Wales, as well as by corporate clients in high-risk, safety-critical industries such as road transport.
With drug driving now a major threat on UK roads, the company is using its platform at RTX to engage directly with operators, fleet managers and health and safety professionals. The message is simple: prevention saves lives, and businesses have a vital role to play.

Recent figures published by the National Police Chiefs’ Council following the 2024 Operation Limit campaign reveal the scale of the issue. Over 58,000 roadside tests were conducted during the campaign period – 1st December 2024 to 1st January 20205, with more than 42% of drug wipes returning positive results compared with 10% of breath tests confirming drink driving. These numbers point to a crisis that can no longer be ignored by employers.
At RTX 2025, visitors to Stand GR25 will be able to see live demonstrations of both DrugWipe drug detection and alcohol testing technology in action. D.tec’s team will be on hand to advise on developing and implementing effective substance misuse policies, covering everything from day-to-day screening and driver checks to post-incident protocols, legal compliance, staff training, and ongoing employee support.
