The one-stop industry event that’s all about the truck and everything related to it
The premium tyre manufacturer will be a guest on sister company Michelin Connected Fleet’s stand G57a, which is situated in Hall 2 at the exhibition.
Visitors will be able to learn more about the latest advances in tyre technology from Michelin’s experts, and how adopting a ‘four lives’ policy can significantly reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and improve sustainability across their fleets.
“We’re excited to be exhibiting our latest products, which are designed to maximise hauliers’ operational efficiency while reducing their environmental impact,” says Andrew French, B2B Sales Director at Michelin Tyres, UK & Ireland.
On the stand will be the newly launched X Works Z2 and D2 in 315/80 R22.5 sizing. The new product is the first on-and-off road fitment to obtain a B rating for rolling resistance on the steer axle.
In addition, the new generation X Works 2 boasts a 10% longer life on the steer axle, and as much as 25% on the drive axle compared with its predecessor range. The tyre has a 3PMSF marking for improved mobility in all conditions and a high level of robustness and retreadability, with 90% of Michelin casings accepted for the process. The X Works 2 also has an improved load index that is compatible with electric vehicles (up from 8 to 8.5 tonnes for each fitment).
Michelin’s popular X Multi range, which is designed for regional haulage and maximum versatility, is well represented too. The MICHELIN X Multi T 385/65 R22.5 and X Multi HD D 315/70 R22.5 will also be on display on the stand.
Completing the line up – and underlining Michelin’s 100 years plus of retreading expertise – is the MICHELIN X Multi Energy D2 Remix in 315/70 R22.5 size. Most UK casings are sent to Michelin’s retreading facility in Stoke to become Remix products. This supports UK manufacturing jobs and helps operators reduce their TCO by extending the life of their tyres. It also mitigates the environment impact of production, as a retreaded fitment uses 70% less raw material than a new one.
