Mike Dawber is a serving Police Officer, has 21 years Police service and is seconded to the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS). Mike is a Vehicle Crime Specialist and has been in post for the last 6 years supporting Police operations and Investigations in his role as NaVCIS Field Intelligence Officer for UK HGV / Cargo Theft. Mike also advises Police, Law Enforcement, Business and Industry around security of UK Road Related Freight. NaVCIS is a National Police Unit and the NaVCIS dedicated Freight Desk provide fortnightly Cargo Crime intelligence reports, monthly / quarterly / Annual Cargo Crime risk reports to business and industry. Mike gives an overview of the threat from UK Cargo Crime, the Organised Teams of thieves targeting cargo, the disposal routes for stolen cargo, and the challenges for Police and Industry
